Research focus: Applied micro economics.

Peter’s approach to teaching focuses on providing his undergraduate students with a broader based education focusing on contemporary issues. He helps students to relate their studies to what is happening in the world and consider how modern problems might be solved.

Peter was awarded the ‘Economics Network’s Best New Lecturer Award’ in 2015 and the ‘University of Manchester Distinguished Achievement Award for Teacher of the Year’ in 2016. These achievements demonstrate Peter’s outstanding contribution to our teaching community in our School.
