Research focus: European and Environmental Politics
Paul enjoys transferring his passion for supporting students from his past work with the NUS to his role as an educator. He aims to create an open atmosphere in the classroom where students can confidently focus on the most important topics in debates and discussions.
Paul’s outstanding contribution to teaching and dedication to his students’ experience has received recognition over the years. In 2017, he was awarded The University of Manchester Students’ Union ‘Best Humanities Lecturer Prize’ and ‘Most Inspiring Lecturer Prize’, voted by his students. Previous awards include a national ‘PGWT Tutor of the Year’ prize, and a University-wide ‘PGWT Award for Excellence in Teaching’ during his time at The University of York.
