The minimum entry requirements for admissions to our undergraduate courses are listed by country below. The requirements stated may vary depending on the grading system used by the institution. If your country is not listed, or if you have any additional queries, please contact our undergraduate admissions team.
These entry requirements are a guide only and the details may vary depending on your personal circumstances, the content of your application and the course you are applying for.

Algeria
If you are taking the French Baccalaureate you will need to achieve 14.5/14 overall, depending on the degree programme you apply for. If you are studying the Option International Baccalaureate, you will need to obtain 14/13.5 overall, depending on the degree programme you apply for. You will need to achieve 14 in English.
You can also have taken an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate; otherwise you will be expected to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept the Algerian Baccalaureate for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Angola
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept the Angolan high school certificate for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Botswana
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Egypt
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will be expected to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept the Al-Azhar General and Technical Secondary School Certificates for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Ethiopia
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination or School Leaving Certificate for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Gambia
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept West African Senior School Certificate for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Ghana
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
Kenya
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
Equivalent grades in KCSEs would meet our GCSE Mathematics and English requirements.
Libya
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept Libyan Secondary Education Certificates for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Mauritius
You will normally be expected to have taken an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme. You can find the required grades on the course entry requirements tab of each course details page.
Morocco
If you are taking the French Baccalaureate you will need to achieve 14.5/14 overall, depending on the degree programme you apply for. Senegal

Seychelles

Sierra Leone

South Africa
If you are studying the South African Senior Certificate/Matriculation Certificate you will need to achieve AAAAB at Higher grade, including English and Mathematics. If you are studying the National Senior Certificate you will need to achieve 77776, including English and Mathematics.
Tanzania
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.
We do not accept the Senior School Certificate for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Tunisia
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.
You will also need a suitable English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no lower than 6 in any component.

Uganda

Zambia
You will need an acceptable qualification such as A-levels or International Baccalaureate, or you will need to complete an acceptable UK-based foundation programme.

We do not accept the Zambia School Certificate for direct entry to our undergraduate courses.
Zimbabwe
