methods@manchester - Research methods in the Social Sciences

methods@manchester is a Faculty initiative which promotes methodological excellence, innovation and inter-disciplinarity and which aims to be relevant and useful to PhD students and research staff.

methods@manchester holds weekly lunch-time talks that provide introductions to a wide range of research methods, e.g. social network analysis, ethnography, structural equation modelling, creative interviewing. Audio recordings of these and other talks are available on the resources page of the methods website.

Additional workshops focus on particular methods or resources and provide an opportunity for discussion and exchange. Visit the events page for the full list of events.

Methods@manchester also runs a Summer School programme, offering a variety of methods-related courses that are available to University of Manchester students at a subsidised rate.

Please go to the website and join the mailing list. You will then receive a weekly email of events and news.
