Manchester Free Legal Help

MFLH Clinics Scheme aims to provide support for people who need legal advice but are unable to afford it.

The scheme aims to assist clients with legal issues in the areas of Family Law and Immigration Law.

We can assist with resolving your legal query by facilitating a 20-minute meeting with a volunteer lawyer. As part of our students’ clinical legal education, two students will be present at the meeting to make a record of the advice provided. A copy of these notes can be provided, upon request.

MFLH only provides initial, one-off advice, to assist you to take your legal matter forwards.

We are not able to provide representation in any court or tribunal or to contact an opponent on your behalf.

Please note that before we can offer an appointment, your request will be reviewed by our staff. If it is appropriate for advice, we will arrange an appointment for you to meet with a solicitor. If it is not appropriate for advice, we will try to signpost you to another service.

If you would like to request an appointment, please complete this form.
