Book

Words and images collected during the project have been collected into a book.

In the course of this project, Jennifer Mason has been collecting weather stories from people living and working in the Calder Valley. These stories come from her research interviews, fieldnotes, and written reports and diaries from her 'weather correspondents'. The weather stories that Jennifer collected gave a fascinating sense of how we live the weather. Jennifer wanted to find a way of sharing these insights, and this is the result: an edited collection of words and ideas. Themes include: the feel of weather, seasons, growing, getting outside, weather characters, floods, valley bottoms and tops, and magical weather.
