Dr Silke Trommer
Silke is an expert on international trade negotiations, trade politics, and global trade governance. Her research has focused on EU-West African trade negotiations, the WTO Doha Round, the role of civil society in trade policy formation, and the nexus of trade politics and trade law. She is a member of the experts network of the International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development in Geneva. She has provided expert testimony to the House of Commons International Trade Committee, to the Department for International Trade, to the Department for International Development, and to the Institute for Public Policy Research. She has also appeared on BBC World Service Radio. She has consulted policy-makers and civil society groups in the UK, Australia, Finland, Germany, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
