My PhD project investigates how local Israeli LGBT+ individuals and communities respond to outsiders (tourists) who use the visual- and location-based gay dating app Grindr as part of a touristic experience.
My overall research addresses dating app technologies and their impacts on gender, sexuality, and everyday social interaction. Additionally, I have an interest in visual communication and the relationship of visual culture with technology.
