I completed my BSc at the University of Uyo, Nigeria and emerged as the University valedictorian with a First Class in Economics. After a short time at the Central Bank of Nigeria (NYSC), I proceeded to Simon Fraser University, B.C., Canada where I obtained an M.A in Economics with Funding from the Nigerian government and the Graduate School at Simon Fraser University.
I am currently a +3 PhD candidate in the Macroeconomics, Growth and Development RAG at The University of Manchester with funding from the Nigerian government (Tetfund/PTDF).

I am currently working on “Essays on Monetary Policy in Developing Economies” and I am supervised by . Although my primary area of research interest is in monetary and fiscal macroeconomics, I also have secondary interests in energy, environment and climate change economics.
