Examining the effect of macroeconomic shocks on the private provision of public goods.
Alex is a PhD student in the Econometrics and Applied Economics RAG. He is funded by the ESRC with Advanced Quantitative Methods (AQM) and the Presidential Doctoral Scholarship.
He graduated with an MSc in Economics with distinction in 2013 from The University of Manchester. His dissertation was on estimating the link between neighbourhood unemployment rates and charitable donations, supervised by Dr Peter Backus.
