Inaugural Mick Moran Doctoral Scholarship awarded
27 June 2018
We are pleased to announce our inaugural Mick Moran Doctoral Studentship has been awarded to Marion Greziller, who will commence her PhD in Politics this September 2018.
Inspired by the life and work of Professor Mick Moran, the studentship will support the next generation of political researchers.
Professor Moran, the WJM McKenzie Professor of Government from 1990 to 2012, as well as a former Dean and Fellow of the British Academy, was a prolific and wide-ranging writer on politics and political issues who passed away earlier this year.
Marion’s research will focus on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda within the Common Defence and Security Policy of the European Union.
Marion said: "It is a great honour to be selected as the first recipient of this studentship. It is a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to pursue my research and develop as a researcher.
"I feel incredibly lucky and inspired to be associated with Prof Mick Moran who has made an indelible mark on The University of Manchester, the field of politics and British Higher Education."
