Social scientists co-found nuclear research network
20 April 2018
The Beam, a unique new research network, has officially launched. It aims to gain international membership and promote the integration of nuclear science and engineering research with contemporary social science theory and practice.
Two of the four co-founders of The Beam, Penny Harvey and Petra Tjitske Kalshoven, are colleagues in the School of Social Sciences at The University of Manchester.
As a collaborative, cross-disciplinary research network, The Beam will foster new engagement between the nuclear sciences and social research, and bring together academic, research and industrial partners, nationally and internationally.
You can find out more on The Beam’s website.
