Applying

All the information you need to apply for your postgraduate research degree with the School of Social Sciences.

There are two ways you can apply for postgraduate study:

When you apply make sure that you also provide:

  • Two academic reference letters from your most recent institution of attendance
  • Your research proposal (see link below)
  • Copies of degree certificates and transcripts
  • IELTS/TOEFL certificate (non-native English speaking applicants only)
  • A CV

You must provide the name of a preferred supervisor and include it in the application form under 'Proposed Research'.

Politics applicants must also provide the name of a second supervisor and include the name in the 'Details' section under the 'Research Title' section.

Details of staff and their research interests can be found within each subject area.

Failure to provide prospective supervisor name(s) will result in a delay in processing your application.
