Getting here

We are based on the Oxford Road campus of the University of Manchester, which is just over a mile south of the city centre.

By train

The closest train station is Manchester Oxford Road, which is 10-15 minutes walk away. Manchester Piccadilly station, in the city centre, is about 1.5 miles away.

Buses

Bus links from the city centre are good. There is a peak-time link bus (number 147) between Piccadilly train station and the campus which runs every 10 minutes. Other buses run from Piccadilly Gardens. They are very frequent and usually take about 10 minutes (slower in heavy traffic).

Finding Us

The Arthur Lewis Building was built in 2007 so might not be a familiar landmark if you need to ask the way. Most people will know where the Manchester Museum and/or Blackwell's book shop are. We are between these two places.

Visitors

If you are visiting us, please come to reception on the third floor of the Arthur Lewis Building.
