I joined the Morgan Centre in October 2005 as a Research Associate on the Real Life Methods ‘node’ of the ESRC’s National Centre for Research Methods where I worked on the Living Resemblances project investigating the social significance of family resemblances. I then moved on to work on the Critical Associations project of the Realities node, researching how associations with friends, neighbours, colleagues and the like matter throughout the life course in both positive and negative ways.
Currently I am working as a Post-doctoral Research Associate where I am developing ideas from my PhD thesis which explored young people’s experiences of being and becoming, particularly in relation to the role of siblings and friends.
I have also held research posts at Salford University and The Equal Opportunities Commission (now the Commission for Equality and Human Rights).
