I recently completed a PhD in Politics from the University of Manchester. My thesis title is 'The Europeanisation of West European communist parties: A comparative Study of Change in Party Tactics'. This topic, by nature combining a series of literatures and research directions, has given rise to a series of research interests in the areas of Cypriot Politics, party-based Europeanisation and Euroscepticism and the radical left. I have so far published on AKEL, Cypriot elections and institutions and presented conference papers in all areas of my research interests. Currently, I am teaching as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Cyprus and Frederick University, Cyprus and conducting further research on radical left parties in Europe and the Cypriot House of Representatives, as well as preparing a book manuscript of my PhD thesis for submission.
