Chashika D Kalubowila
Chashika is currently a PhD student in Economics at The University of Manchester and he is a member of the Macroeconomics, Growth and Development Research Area Group. He is funded by the School of Social Sciences, Economics studentship.
He received his MSc in Economics with a Distinction from the University of Warwick in 2016. Chashika is an employee of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL). He joined the CBSL in 2010 and worked as an Assistant Director/Dealer at the Open Market Operations (OMO) department of the Central Bank for almost 5 years. He received a scholarship from the CBSL to follow his postgraduate studies, and is currently on study leave to complete his PhD. Before joining the CBSL, he has 4 years of working experience in the Banking sector in Sri Lanka.
Chashika is also an associated member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. He received his first Master of Business Administration degree with a Distinction from the Northumbria University, UK in 2008.
Chashika is mainly interested in Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) Models with Monetary Policy, Business Cycles, Credit Frictions and Probability of Default.
