How do the ECON10151 tutorials work?

  • Tutorial Attendance is Compulsory and Assessed
  • All five Tutorial Classes are compulsory, you receive marks for attendance and satisfactory effort during them.
  • The sessions are not there for you to check your personal email, browse the web etc. This constitutes unsatisfactory effort
  • In each tutorial there are a series of Tasks (Task1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc) for you to complete.
  • Once you have completed one of these tasks Click the "Completed" box below it and then click the 'Submit' button.
  • Not all Tasks are followed by a "Completed" box, if this is the case just move on to the next Task when ready.
For example Task 1.2 looks like this:

Task 1.2 - Formatting a Document

  • The file unformatted letter.doc contains the text of an application letter for summer employment
  • Format the letter so that it looks like this - i.e. suitable to send to a potential employer
  • Print the letter, show it to the tutor.
