Valuing Older People: The Manchester Full of Life Festival
Manchester University's inter-disciplinary group for research on ageing present an afternoon of academic debate as part of the Manchester Full of Life Festival, sponsored by Valuing Older People.

Alistair Burns (Professor of Old Age Psychiatry) will give a talk on Dementia Care, and James Nazroo (Professor of Sociology) will give a talk on Inequalities in Health at Older Ages. The event will be hosted by Professor Alistair Ulph, Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
This event will present our latest research, but is intended for a general audience as well as specialists.

The Full of Live Festival, the country's biggest celebration of older people, is back and bigger than ever! It will be running for a full two weeks, from Monday 29th September to Friday 10th October 2008. A huge variety of events will be taking place across the city of Manchester including:
- Cultural programme involving the city's main cultural providers.
- A Bowls competition, city centre treasure hunt and may more neighbourhood events
- 'Come Dancing' road show in Wythenshawe
- Community group events in your local neighbourhood
- 'Voices of Experience' exhibition to celebrating the lives and achievements of the city's older population
The Festival's Big Event will be held on 30th September.
