Publishing

In collaboration with Manchester University Press we publish a series of textbooks and monographs reporting the latest academic research on Europe.

Our Working Papers serve a different purpose: they produce short accounts of the immediate results of research, in order to stimulate argument and to communicate quickly to practitioners the outcome of basic research.

Our regular Newsletter is mailed both to academics and practitioners and acts as a bulletin board for events related to research in Europe.

Working Papers

EPRU Working Papers are £2.95 per copy, including postage and packaging, or are available at a reduced rate of £12.50 if any five copies are ordered.

EPRU Book Series

The European Politics Research Unit Series aims to provide advanced textbooks and thematic studies of key public policy issues in contemporary Europe. The books concentrate in particular on comparing patterns of national policy processes and policy content, but pay due attention to the European Union dimension.

The European Politics Research Unit (EPRU) was set up in 1989 to promote research on European politics and public policy. The Series is part of EPRU's efforts to facilitate intellectual exchange and substantive debate on key policy issues confronting the European states and the European Union.

The Series is published by Manchester University Press, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9NR, UK. Tel: +44(0) 161-273-5539; Fax: +44(0) 161-274-3346.

European Union Policy Papers- ISSN NO: 1362-0541

The European Union Policy Papers series was devised to promote discussion and debate on issues pertaining to the future of European integration. In producing this series of papers, our intention is to engage directly the public policy debate across the European Union and to contribute to discussions that inform and shape the direction and pace of European integration. To this end, each Policy Paper will be written by a recognised authority in the area and sharply focused on an issue relevant to the contemporary debate.

The European Union Policy Papers series is a joint venture between the Europa Institute of the University of Edinburgh and the European Policy Research Unit of the University of Manchester. Both partners are delighted to acknowledge the support of the Royal Bank of Scotland without which this series of seminars and accompanying papers would not be possible.
