Research interests
My current research is concerned with the re-emergence of theology in the human rights discourse of what are generally thought to be secular theories of just war. I want to trace the ethical tensions that emerge from just war theory's languages of rights, and investigate the implications of how these tensions are resolved with reference to both first-hand and literary accounts of contemporary warfare.
