Project overview

My project aims to investigate the ways in which televisual images have brought shape to, and engendered, the al-Qaeda phenomenon. Whilst others have sought to focus on al-Qaeda as a material threat, this study will seek to investigate al-Qaeda as a ‘virtual’ entity, something that cannot be fought in a conventional, military sense.
