Themes and centres

Each of our three themes is organised as a Centre:
- Centre for Comparative Politics (CCP),
- Centre for International Politics (CIP),
- Manchester Centre for Political Theory (MANCEPT).
Each Centre includes academic staff and PhD students, so that each member of staff, and each PhD student is associated with at least one Centre.
Each Centre is lead by a Director who acts as a co-ordinator of discussion and debate on Undergraduate, Postgraduate or Research issues. The Centres provide opportunities for disaggregated debate and also provide theme-specific points of contact for research students that complement their specific supervisory arrangements and support from the Politics Postgraduate team.
