The Foundations of Ontology
The Foundations of Ontology is a three year research project at Manchester, funded by the AHRC, and directed by David Liggins and Chris Daly.
Chris and David will be investigating the nature of philosophical inquiry into what exists, and defending the practice from its leading critics.
The project, which runs from November 2011 to October 2014, will involve two workshops.
The first workshop will take place at the University of Manchester on 10 September 2012. The speakers will be:
- Matti Eklund (Cornell)
- Bob Hale (Sheffield)
- Fraser MacBride (Cambridge)
- Chris Daly and David Liggins (Manchester)
