Researching racial inequality: Ending racism

Professor Nazroo (Sociology) and The Runnymede Trust have been working to generate innovative forms of knowledge exchange to impact policy nationally on tackling racial and ethnic inequality in contemporary Britain. Runnymede is the UK’s leading independent race equality think tank and generate intelligence for a multi-ethnic Britain through research, network building, leading debate, and policy engagement.

Big data and urban waste management

Professor Penny Harvey (Social Anthropology) is working with GMWDA to help them understand how big data can help them achieve their policy target of zero waste and to identify and change behaviour and to maximise the possibilities for reduction, reuse and recycling of waste.
